How to apply
To determine vehicle and equipment eligibility you need to look at the CleanUp Register.
In order to successfully apply for a grant you should:
Read the CleanUp Application Form and the How to Apply documents.
These may either be downloaded from the website or may be obtained by ringing the Transport Energy Hotline on 0845 602 1425 and asking for a CleanUp Application Pack.
Check to see whether your chosen technology and vehicle type is eligible for funding by looking at the CleanUp Register.
Contact the equipment supplier to obtain a quote (contact details are on the Register page).
Many Suppliers have an agreement with the Energy Saving Trust which permits them to offer equipment such as traps and catalysts at a price which is net of the grant. These Suppliers deal with all the administration associated with applying for a grant. The EST strongly
recommends that BEFORE you make a grant application to us, you contact a Supplier to establish whether they can apply on your behalf and save you time and effort. These Suppliers are indicated by (*) in the list at the bottom of the CleanUp Register page.
If you are interested in buying a new vehicle with a trap or catalyst already fitted, and the vehicle Supplier is one of those listed in bold in the contacts .section at the bottom of the CleanUp Register page, please contact them rather than applying to us directly for a grant.
Fill in the Application Form and return it to the address given on the form.
Note that grants must be applied for before the work is carried out - TransportEnergy cannot pay grants retrospectively.
